About Sara Singer

I began my career at Catonsville Cat Clinic, in Catonsville Maryland, as a receptionist in 2009. Discovering the amazing work the veterinary technicians were doing, I transferred to being a vet tech, and began pet sitting for veterinary clients part time. In 2014, I decided I wanted to be my own boss and launched Smiles & Purrs, which quickly and consistently began gaining clients. Pet sitting has been my full time career since, and I cannot imagine doing anything else. I love my work and am so grateful for the continued trust and support of countless clients. I'm animal CPR/First Aid certified, can administer all medications, including injections and have experience in diabetic care and management. When not pet sitting, I'm a mom to three kids, have two rescue cats, and dabble in song writing.

About Marshall Singer

Marshall has had dogs in his life since childhood and quickly became a cat lover after rescuing our Tuxedo cat, Jasper. He has great success in connecting with the skittish/fearful/anxious pets, both dogs and cats, and his gentle and compassionate manner help these pets feel calm, safe and comfortable when their pet parents are away. He's comfortable administering medications and in the four years of full time pet care, has learned how to detect subtle signs of possible illness in pets and has gained vast knowledge of animal care and behavior. He has a soft spot for the senior pets and they love him too! He rescued our second cat, Bubbles, in 2023 after moving to North Carolina and when not pet sitting, he's a dad to our three kids and grows a thriving garden. If you have plant and garden care needs, he will be glad to help!

I grew up on the coast of Southeastern North Carolina, calling Oak Island my home until 4 years ago when I moved to the Holden Beach area. I have always had a passion for animals and spend my days helping my elderly neighbors with their dogs. I have 2 Bordie Collie mixes, so I know how to handle dogs with a lot of energy! I pride myself on being very hands on, giving all my attention to the pets I take care of. My primary job is as a real estate agent with Intracoastal Realty. I am so grateful that I can work with Smiles & Purrs as this fits perfectly into my schedule. Other hobbies I have are cooking /baking as I worked in the hospitality industry for 11 years after attending Culinary School. If you need any recipes or restaurant recommendations, I am your girl! I enjoy getting to know your furry family members and think of them as my own. My main goal is to make them feel comfortable with me and truly loved.

About Katelyn Ivey

About Megan Boyde

I've always had a way with animals; from the time I could walk, I was always seeking them out wherever I could. My parents kept a full house when I was growing up, so over the course of my childhood into adulthood, I've learned how to take care of cats, dogs, rabbits, fish, and turtles. I come from a long line of cat ladies, and I don't mean to brag when I say this, but I can almost definitely become best friends with your shy cat I have 3 cats of my own currently, Frank (pictured), his brother Beans, and a lovely orange lady named Guppy, as well as a dog Leeloo who is a Jack Russell-Red Heeler mix. I absolutely love meeting new furbabies, and I look forward to loving your pets like they were my own.
